ADD-ADHD | Cyprus | The treatment of ADHD, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

A patient attended the clinic with a historical diagnosis of ADHD. Their symptoms consisted of not seeing tasks through, being distracted, losing things, always searching for things, impulsive, high temper, impatient, invaded by thoughts.

The patient was diagnosed with ADHD 6 yrs ago and has been on medication since (METHYLPHENEDATE HYDROCHRLORIDE) two times per day, 90-72mg. This is a slow release medication. Medication created a generic anxiety over simple things, apprehensive, socially auqward. Inhibits appetite. Dehydrated.

Alongside with their psychiatrist, the treating ADHD with osteopathy and acupuncture allowed the patient to gradually diminish their medication to a point where they no longer require it. Today the patient can work better, and feels more relaxed, is far more social and happier, positive that they do not need to rely on their medication etc. Does not feel the need to alter oneself.
